Gratitude a Decade in the Making
This month marks 10 years since I walked through the doors of Northern Wasco County Peoples Utility District (NWCPUD). Looking back, what stays with me most isn’t the projects or the milestones—it’s the people, the relationships, and the trust we’ve built together along the way.
To Our Customer-Owners
Thank you for your trust in me over these 10 years.
Every day, I’m reminded that this isn’t my utility—it’s yours. You’ve entrusted me to be a steward of something that matters deeply to this community, and I don’t take that lightly. Building and keeping that trust over 10 years has been 1 of my greatest responsibilities and honors. There have been times when decisions were hard, when we had to ask for your patience, when growth brought changes. Through it all, you’ve stayed engaged with us. You’ve held me accountable. You’ve been partners.
To the businesses, organizations, and community partners who’ve worked alongside us on projects and initiatives, your collaboration and shared commitment to making this a better place to live and work have strengthened everything we do. Thank you.
To Our Dedicated Staff
Working alongside you has been the honor of my professional life.
I came here believing that if we took care of our people, everything else would follow. 10 years later, I believe that more than ever. Watching this team evolve, seeing people grow in their careers, knowing that you feel valued and supported in your work—that’s what keeps me going.
For those who were here in the early days, thank you for your patience with me, for trusting the vision even when the path wasn’t clear.
For those who’ve joined us since, thank you for choosing to be part of this team and for adding your talents to what we’re building together.
Every person here makes a difference. I hope you feel that.
To Our Board of Directors
Leadership is never easy, and you’ve shouldered that responsibility with grace and commitment.
Thank you for your trust in me, especially in the early years when I had to earn that trust. Thank you for the hard decisions you’ve made to position us for the future. Thank you for staying true to our mission even when the easier path would have been to maintain the status quo.
I’m grateful for your partnership and your dedication to this community.
Looking Ahead
I don’t know what the next decade will bring, but I know we’ll face it together. That’s what gives me confidence. Not what we’ve accomplished, but who we’ve become as an organization, as a team, and as a community.
Thank you for 10 remarkable years. Here’s to our shared future.
