Public Notice: Proposed Class Exemption from Competitive Bidding
Northern Wasco County PUD’s Board of Directors, acting as the District’s Local Contract Review Board, is considering a class exemption from Oregon’s competitive bidding requirements for certain public improvement contracts. If approved, the exemption would allow the District to use alternative contracting methods, such as Requests for Proposals, for work on our electric and communications systems when doing so is in the District’s best interest and allowed under state law.

- October 5, 2026, 5:00 pm PDT: Deadline to submit a written request for a public hearing
- October 6, 2026, 4:00 pm PDT: Board considers the proposed exemption at its regular meeting, 2345 River Road, The Dalles

Draft findings supporting the exemption are available for public inspection during normal business hours. To review them, request a hearing, or ask questions, contact the Purchasing Department at purchasing@nwascopud.org or (541) 298-3323.

Northern Wasco County PUD does not maintain plan holder lists for ITBs and RFPs.
