Chief Operating Officer
Jeff Teel serves as Chief Operating Officer at Northern Wasco County PUD, where he provides executive oversight for all operational aspects of the utility, including direct leadership of the Engineering, Operations, and Information Technology departments. With over 25 years of progressively complex engineering and leadership experience, Jeff brings deep expertise in utility operations, power generation, and technological innovation.
Throughout his career, Jeff has established himself as a respected leader in utility engineering and control systems across hydropower facilities, municipal utilities, and industrial clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. His foundation was built during his service as a Nuclear Prototype Instructor and Electrician's Mate in the U.S. Navy, where he operated and maintained electrical systems aboard nuclear-powered submarines and earned multiple honors, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and recognition as Sailor of the Year. His professional experience includes significant leadership roles in SCADA systems development and critical infrastructure projects where he designed and executed vital projects for electric generation, power substations, and water facilities.
A licensed Professional Engineer in Oregon, Jeff maintains active memberships in IEEE and ISA. Jeff's combination of technical expertise, leadership experience, and commitment to excellence continues to advance Northern Wasco County PUD's mission of providing reliable and cost-effective utility services to its customers.
