With over three decades of experience in the energy sector, Roger has cultivated a diverse and impressive career. His expertise spans enterprise risk management, generation operations, maintenance, and senior leadership roles. Prior to joining the District, Roger's professional journey included significant tenures at the Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB), the United States Army Corps of Engineers, Calpine Corporation, Texas Independent Energy, Solar Turbines Inc., and the United States Navy.
Roger's academic achievements complement his extensive practical experience. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with cum laude honors from Colorado Technical University and further specialized his knowledge with a graduate certificate in utility management from Willamette University. His commitment to the energy industry extends beyond his primary roles, as evidenced by his active participation in various public power boards. Roger has served as Chair of the Public Power Council (PPC) Executive Committee and as president of the Northwest Requirements Utilities (NRU) Executive Committee. Currently, he continues to contribute his expertise as a board member for both Northwest RiverPartners and the Western Energy Institute (WEI).
