Supporting our Neighbors in Need

Justin Brock, Customer Service & Key Account Manager

Northern Wasco County PUD would like to thank everyone who has rounded up or donated to the district’s Neighbor to Neighbor program this year.

With colder temperatures and the holiday season just around the corner, we would like to challenge our customer owners to contribute to the program by rounding up their electric bills to the nearest dollar each month. These collective funds help those who qualify pay their electric bill.

Participants who round up their bills contribute between 1 cent and 99 cents monthly. That is an average of just $6 a year to the Neighbor to Neighbor program. Individually, this is not a large number. Combined, it makes a difference to those in need. If half of our customer owners rounded up their bills each month, the program would bring in an impressive $30,000 each year. So far in 2022, the program has awarded $8,750 in assistance to income-eligible households.

Another easy way to contribute is to add a specific amount to your electric bill each month. You also may make a one-time donation.

To contribute to the Neighbor to Neighbor program, fill out the donation form on our website or at the PUD office. Bring the form to the office, send it via email to Customer Service or mail it to 2345 River Road, The Dalles, OR 97058.

For more information on this program, contact Customer Service at (541) 296-2226 or email Customer Service.
